Suddenly my reverie was ended, and opening my eyes I per¬ ceived that a pretty young lady was looking at me curiously with a smile on the half parted lips. Confused, I tried to ex¬ plain my presence and asked if I might remain. When the students came in I was introduced and asked to speak a few words to them, just as I had seen other visitors do. 1 never thought that the opportunity would ever come to ME. Perceiving a look of gladness pass over rhe laces before me I felt flattered at first, but on second thought a light dawned on me that left me sympathetic, if no longer flattered. Hadn’t I been glad when some old fellow came to talk? Well I determined to talk as long as possible. I guess the children felt satisfied even if the teacher didn’t. After visiting a few classes I took my leave with a feeling of sadness and a longing for the days of Auld Lang Syne. DAN SINK, 11.
