The basketball team compiled a record of 7-4 by the who brought home the trophy were: First row: G. Her- end of its season. On February 17, the team partici- Vey, K- Lewis, Mrs. Sharp, S. Sendmeyer, V. Cum- pated in an Invitational Tourney at Granville Wells. After defeating Brownsburg, they went on to down Pittsboro and win the tourney. Proud team members mings. Second row: P. Bailey, G. Steele, B. Walker, J. Collins, C. Staley, K. Scott, T. Ison, D. Schwomeyer, A Dorsett, L. Weist and Susie Holsapple. GAA Learned Skills and Sportsmanship The members of the track team participated in a District track meet at Franklin High School last spring. Those returning to the squad from the previous year were: B. Walker, R. Dorsett, V. Cummings, K. Lewis, P. Bailey, L. Hess, T. Ison, and S. Sendmeyer, 54 Seniors who went bowling on Wednesday's were always anxious to board the bus to go to the bowling alley. 1971-72 Senior bowlers were: P. Smith, M. Yount, B. Cummings, K. Lewis, K. Ison, C. McKamey, T. Edwards, and B. Nickerson.

Through Teamwork The volleyball team played many schools and participated in a District meet at Plainfield High School late last fall. Mem- bers were: Front row: Mrs. Sharp, C. Kay, M. Leidig, D. Yount, K. Scott, T. Dunshee, K. Sutherlin, B. Whitaker, K. Lewis, C. Staley, Second row: V. Nickerson, A. Dor- sett, G. Steele, J. Weaver, T. Ison, B. Walker, P. Bailey, K. Jones. Just as soon as the GAA sweaters were awarded, Senior girls could be seen parading through the halls of CHS, showing off their hard-earned green or white sweater. In or- der to be awarded a sweater, a girl must have earned at least 250 points during the time she was in GAA. Those awarded sweat- ers were: P. Smith, K. Lewis, N. Stevens, K. Ison, D. Schwomeyer, P. Bailey, R. Dorsett, M. Yount, B. Nickerson, B. Cummings, C. McKamey. A plaque is the highest award any girl can re- ceive in GAA. Three hundred and fifty points must be earned and ten written skill tests must be passed. Plaques were awarded to Senior GAA members: Peggy Bailey, Kristi Lewis, and Rhonda Dorsett, 55
