Many nights after W- FGTEUSOU, D- Monnett- school, these cheerleaders could be seen working on a Enthusiasm Getting into the Jr. High system of school was a new experience for these girls. It was also necessary for them to find time to be 7th grade cheerleaders. Precisioned move- ments, spirited sideline cheers, and clever floors yells were very much a part of being cheerleaders. Members of the 7th grade cheerleader squad were: Top to bottom: C. Whitkanack, J. Henson, B. Weist, A. Purcell.

- I The old saying, Behind every successful man is a Woman could be taken out of context and applied to the B-team cheerleaders. This year's B-team cheerlead- ers who backed their team with clever acrobatic stunts, 'Wa- spirited yells, and a lot of good old-fashioned school spirit were: D. Dean, Capt., V. Cummings, S. Send- meyer, K. Fidler, Lynn Wells was chosen as alternate for the B-team cheerleaders. Spirit-Pep Winning was the theme of the Freshman team, and to cheer their team to their vic- torious season were the Freshman cheerlead- els. Their youthful enthusiasm and desire to succeed was their key to success. Freshman cheerleaders were: top to bottom: S. Bowman, G. Hervey, T. Schied.

The CHS grapplers chalked up a record of 5-8 to finish their second season in the WCC wrestling competition. Although the team record was not outstanding, many of the wrestlers scored fine individual records. This year's grapplers were: Front Row: G. Sublett, C. Whi- cker, B. Fisher, G. Cummings, G. Sutherlin. Second Row: Coach Curran, T. Sutherlin, S. Burns, P. Mabry, D. Wallace, R. Merriman, D. Glessner. Third Row: P. Ford, K. Haltom, J. Sutherlin, V. Barnes, B. Schwo- meyer, T. Bland, K. Cash, Manager. Also, several grap- plers received honors in the conference and sectional. Those who placed in the conference were: T. Bland, lst, B. Schwomeyer'2ndg V. Barnes, 3rdg C. Whicker, 4th. in the sectional, the following six wrestlers placed fourth: C. Whicker, V. Barnes, T. Bland, P. Ford, J. Sutherlin, and B. Schwomeyer.
