ourney Champs Cascade for the invitational tourney. In the opening game of the tourney, the B team was defeated by Monrovia by a score of 46-44. On January 21, the Varsity bombed the Monrovia Bulldogs, 80-46. In the cham- pionship game the Clovers were defeated for the second time of the season by the Avon Orioles with the 8-point margin of the ear- lier game.

1971-72 Holiday An early Christmas gift for Coach Tucker was the Championship Trophy of the Holi- day Tourney at South Putnam on December 20-21. The Clovers defeated the strong Owen Valley Patriots on December 20 with a score of 70-54. The next night the team went on to down the high-soaring South Putnam Eagles 1 by a small margin of 67-59. This year's B-team sported the fine record of 16-3. Many of their games were close, but these mighty Clovers were able to overcome most of their powerful adversaries. B-team squad members were: Front row: C. N ees, K. Nield, C. Herbert, M. Jordan, J. Hilliard. Second row: Coach Williams, P. Mugg, J. Gerlach, G. Smith, T. Steele, J. Nield, Varsity Coach Tucker. B Team And Underclass Teams The 13-5 record of the Freshmen ball team indicated the fine coaching abil- ity of Coach Stanley. Along with his excellent coaching, the boys kept in top condition by using the new Universal weight machine and running up and down flights of stairs during their practice sessions.
