Varsity Had Winning Combination l A winning season, 18 wins and 6 losses, was due to the tremendous desire for success. Coach Tuck- er built a well-balanced squad combining the shooting ability, speed, and enthusiasm of each member to provide good basketball for Cloverdale as well as Putnam County. In their 16 game sea- son that included two tourneys, the Clovers met old rivals as well as new, worthy opponents. Meet- ing the difficult challenge that the Varsity faced were: Coach Tucker, D. Nees, R. Moore, D. Branneman, Assistant Coach Williams. Second now J. Williams, R. Nees, C. Jones, M. Steele, J. David, K. Frazier, B. Walton. Spirit, pep, enthusiasm-it was hard to find the right words to describe the Varsity Cheerleaders. They lead cheers at the pep sessions, made booster signs for the halls and backed the Clovers in their winning season. Captain N . Stevens, K. Lewis, B. Whitaker, T. Ison.
