The Jr. High Student Council consisted of represent- atives from the seventh and eighth grades with Mrs. McCammon as their faculty sponsor. A beautiful pic- ture of a landscape was presented to the Library as their project this year. They also decorated the lower hall for the Christmas season and policed the school grounds for candy wrappers. Picking up those candy wrappers were: Jr. High Stu- dent Council members: Steve Cline, Alan Hughes, Roy Mayo, Wesley McClure, Steve Northup, J eff Davis, Sue Rightmeyer, Kathy Dunshee, Mrs. McCammon, Joyce Swope and Rhonda Heidrick. Student Councils Planned Convocatioi Making final plans for presenting their picture to the school were Jr. Hi oflicers Steve Cline, Vice Pres., Joyce Swope, Treas.g Jeff Davis, President, Rhonda Heidrick, Sec.g and Mrs. McCammon. 34 Four seniors and four juniors were cho- sen by the faculty from the top one- third of their classes to become mem- bers of the National Honor Society.

The Student Councils of CHS, consisting of represent- atives from each high school class, were good examples of students working together in a representative government. Being service organizations, the Student Councils had many activities. Convocations were planned for special occasions.
