Under the direction of Cindy Ernst and Sandy Truax and the watchful eyes of Mrs. Liveoak, stu- dents of the Hi-Lites Staff sold advertising, wrote copy, did layouts, scheduled photographers, and met deadlines, especially deadlines. Becki Nickerson, as Index Editor, made sure every name appeared in the index and their pages were properly indentified. Nancy Stevens, as Senior Edi- tor, planned all the Senior layouts of the Senior Sec- tion in the yearbook. Members of the staff who worked so diligently to sell ads were Kathy Ison, Business Manager, Kristi Lewis and Patty Smith. Nancy Stevens also helped out. Hi-Lites Staff Worked Morning, Noon, and Night Taking subscriptions for the yearbook was quite a job, as Jackie Dugan, and Debbie Rollings found out. The Jr. High Student Council consisted of represent- atives from the seventh and eighth grades with Mrs. McCammon as their faculty sponsor. A beautiful pic- ture of a landscape was presented to the Library as their project this year. They also decorated the lower hall for the Christmas season and policed the school grounds for candy wrappers. Picking up those candy wrappers were: Jr. High Stu- dent Council members: Steve Cline, Alan Hughes, Roy Mayo, Wesley McClure, Steve Northup, J eff Davis, Sue Rightmeyer, Kathy Dunshee, Mrs. McCammon, Joyce Swope and Rhonda Heidrick. Student Councils Planned Convocatioi Making final plans for presenting their picture to the school were Jr. Hi oflicers Steve Cline, Vice Pres., Joyce Swope, Treas.g Jeff Davis, President, Rhonda Heidrick, Sec.g and Mrs. McCammon. 34 Four seniors and four juniors were cho- sen by the faculty from the top one- third of their classes to become mem- bers of the National Honor Society.
