The Jou1'nalism class was another first for CHS. Under the direction of Mrs. McKinney, the school newspaper was completely re- vamped with a new format and a new name. It was published bi- monthly with different students assuming the responsibility of the editorship. New Opportunities For Students Photography Club members were: Front row, Mr. Reece, G. Sutherlin, K. Ison, C. Manning, S. Powell, E. O'Conner, A. Purcell, Mr. Purcell, Second row: S. Orr, T. Dunshee, M. Steele, M. Hervey, G. Allen, M. Cassida, G. Bowman, J. Sutherlin, G. Sublett. Third row: H. Man- son, R. Kennedy, D. McCammack, K. Nield, J. Farmer, M. Diel, K. Patten, G. Wheeler, D. Jordan, B. Ebbing. Mr. Purcell explained the fine points of the camera to Myron Hervey, Vice-President and Kathy Ison, President of the Photography Club. A new dark room was equipped dur- ing the second semester for the con- venience of the students who could do their own picture developing. Eight years of successful competition in 4-H horsemanship was the foundation for a stable of 20 horses that Marcia Broadstreet called her string . Marcia's trailer could be seen traveling the highways throughout the summer and fall as she competed in horse shows. The officers of the Girls' 4pH club worked hard to make 4-H suc- cessful through the summer at CHS. Ofiicers were: Front row: S. Sendmeyer, Health and Safety, M. Broadstreet, Reporterg K. The highlight of the year for the French Club was the Valentine Dance. After all the votes were counted Miss Robyn Boston, escorted by Craig Scheid, was crowned the 1972 Sweetheart. Her attendants were: Vicki Alderson, Senior, Peggy Archer, last year's queen, Deb- bie Neuhausel, Freshman, and Anne Coffin, Junior. Their escorts were: Danny Hunsicker, Danny Wallace, Randy Evans, and Jeff Williams. With the Eifel tower in the background, it was truly ,an evening in Paris.
