SCHOOL BOARD: Mr. E. 1. johnson, Mr. 1. H. Dimmer, Mr. A. G. Hudtloff, Mr. A. D. Reeder, Mrs. Nellie Wootan, Mr. C. T. Chandler, Mr. T. Olai Hageness School Board Our school board is an effective and valuable asset to the progress of our school district. In its hands lie the educational facilities of the entire district. The board consists of five members, the president of which is Mr. Edwin J, Johnson and the secretary, Mr. T. Olai Hageness. The members of the board are elected every three years in staggered elections, remarkable because they donate both time and effort, without pay, for us, the students and the community. The duties of the school board are: ll to authorize all school district expenditures, 23 prescribe the course of study, 3l to establish and maintain the schools, grades and departments, 4i to employ, and for cause, to dismiss teachers and other employees, Sl to buy and sell school property, 61 to establish and operate the lunch rooms in the school buildings for pupils and teachers, and last but not least, to prepare and present a budget for each school year. All in all, our school board has had a very busy year and we certainly appreciate its fine work. Office For the past six years Mrs. Wanda Sutich has been secretary to the principal. This includes handling all records, transcript of credits, telephone calls and many other miscellaneous jobs. The responsibility of secretary to the Guidance Office has been efficiently fulfilled by Mrs. Louise Miller for four years. Mrs. Miller's broad viewpoint has been extremely helpful to both the school and parents, and under her supervision a number of girls have obtained practical office experience. This is Mrs. Christine Wagley's third year as assistant librarian. Her duties include keeping the card catalog, accessioning books, keeping track of last books, and taking inventory. Assisting Mr. Swall, director of the vocational shop, is Mrs. Lev Kline who handles all correspondence, files, and makes contacts with the Veterans' Administration for the veterans' training program. Mrs. Marion Miller is completing her thirtieth and last year of teaching-without a day's absence! Dur- ing this time she has taught every grade from kindergarten through high school, has been principal of Park Lodge Grade School, and for the past five years she has taught bed-ridden students at home. Orchids to Mrs. Miller! MRS. SUTICH MRS. MILLER t MRS. WAGLEY Main Office Guidance Office Library - 's npgn-av' ,WFS
