Gone for ever will be the routine of school life, the fun we had, and the friends we made. We, the Klionian Staff of 1955, have greatly enjoyed producing this annual and sincerely hope that as you muse through its pages, you will re- capture those moments -- and the echoes will ring again. -- The Staff

Qi O C , , 1 A good name. . .a wise man . . .tireless . . .steadfast . . .diligent . . .an unceasing laborer -- qualities which command admiration and respect -- qualities which demand the dedication of this first Klionian to Our Superintendent, Mr. George R. Carter. In 1923 Clio students became aware of a new football coach and principal, a young man named George Carter, who from that time on has been continually en- gaged inthe work of C1io's educational progress. A teacher of several subjects, as well as principal and coach, Mr. Carter has watched the school grow from one building to an educational system employing seventy-six faculty members and administrators and representing an enrollment of twenty-four hundred. Always contributing to the growth and progress of the community, he is a mem ber of Rotary and has served as president. To you, Mr. Carter, we proudly dedicate this Klionian, a small tribute to your efforts and achievements.
