The green wore off after a few weeks and we caught on to the routine of high school life. Our sponsor, Mr. Homer Jones, treated the freshman class with watermelons at a get acquainted party. Our class trip to Little Rock in the spring of the year was enjoyed by everyone. A group of wiser ex-freshmen came back to school in August, 1954. Ray Mullins was again elected president of the sophomore class. Mrs. Clark and Mr. Ralph Hutto were co-sponsors of our class. Our class trip to Petit Jean was a memorable occasion. In August, 1955, the junior class came back to school ready to roll up their sleeves and work harder. Once again Ray Mullins was elected president. Mr. Griffith and Mrs. Marjorie Hines were co-sponsors. The junior class presented a three act comedy called No Boys Allowed . The happy occasion arrived when we selected our class rings. Everyone looked forward to the time that the rings would be sent to us. We honored the seniors with the Junior and Senior Banquet. The theme was Star Dust . The class took their class trip to L. R. and Lake Nixon. The greatest year of our lives began in August, 1956. The senior class elected James May president. Our co-sponsors Mr. and Mrs. Gene Horton were willing to go all the way in order to help us help ourselves. Finally the day arrived that we had looked forward to with anticipation. The class rings had arrived. We realized with reverence, that we carry on our finger the emblem and seal of a great school and everyone connected with it. The senior class play, Timmie's Double Date was a magnificent job well done by everyone who parti- cipated. After an enjoyable class trip we came back to old C. S. V. T. S. to get ready for graduation. W pfiocy The years have certainly flown fast for the graduating class of 1957. Things have definitely cl We now look in on the first class reunion, held this year of 1981. The reunion was held at the high school, which is located on seven acres of ground near the old Che taw Spur. The old school site was sacrificed in order to make room for one of the new B. F. Goodrich factories. The town has rapidly expanded, due to a discovery by the scientist, DR. RONALD ALLEN, that rubber trees grow well in Arkansas. TED HUTTO was instrumental in getting the sardine packing company here. CAROL GRIFFITH, who consented to become Ted's private secretary, says, sardines aren't so bad, after the first whiff. GLENDAL ROGERS shocked his friends when he became a Devil Driver for the newly formed KEELING, BROWN, and HARNESS Circus. FARRIS sees after the animals. He has been affectionately nick-named slave driver by his co-workers. RITA is the equestrienne of the troupl Her favorite horse is named Champoin Don I. MARY LOU is the millionairess who financed the whole scheme. L. C. CHALK retired to raise watermelons and green beans in the window boxes of his penthouse here in Clinton. Remember WENCIE BONDS and her clarinet? She wasn't able to attend our reunion, but she is attempting to set a new record for playing a clarinet while flagpole sitting. Remember how swell NORRIS McCUTCHEON was in our class play? He and DOUGLAS WITTE have recently formed a motion picture company, PEU Productions. Norris does the acting, Douglas does the work. JEIREIN WILLOUGHBY has dyed her raven tresses red and is working for Norris and Doug as stunt girl in The Accidents of Annette . Our former classmate, ANNETTE RICKARD, is the fabulous star of these productions. RONDAL GODFREY, who was once the shortest fellow in the class, is seriously considering having someone cut his legs off and call him Shorty. JIM NUNLEY manufactures picture frames for Sing Sing prisoners who want to be, or have been framed. JACKIE DENNEY certainly is popular at Christmas. She makes hats with built-in mistletoe for shy girls DORA LOU BLAIR has launched herself on a career in Horticulture. She has become an international figure, and a foremost expert on arrangements of weeds and sawbriers. The Clinton Sun-Telegram called FRAN THOMPSON and ALICE ANN CONNER back from Paris and Inner Mongolia. Fran is the Sun-Telegram's fashion editor. She was in Paris trying to find a way to get out. Alice Ann was trying to persuade Inner Mongolians to buy the Sun-Telegram and make her editor- in-chief, FRANK SMART is making wooden crutches and snow skis, so that when a skier breaks his leg his business won't fall down. While driving over from Botkinburg in his taxi, CHARLES SMITH stopped and attended our reunion. MARY EVELYN MATTHEWS owns several of the more prominent glue factories in town. She sure is in a sticky business. CARL CULLUM is fighting fire with fire. He is starring himself in Operas just to show how bad an Opera can be. DOYCE CAMPBELL took a position with Lewis Dynamite Works at Crabtree. BILL BATES was recently elected Mayor of Clinton. This is his first term, and he also ran unopposed. JOYCE SCOTT returned from a trip to Lower Mongolia just in time to get ready for our reunion. She says that the Lower Mongolians seem to be lower than usual, but all is as was to be expected. The most distinguished and famous of our classmates is JO ANN NUNLEY. She is now a novelist. Her most recent book Twenty Years Before the Last is rivaled in popularity only by Mathis Complete Handbook of the English Languages and Literature. JAMES CARTER moved to Botkinburg and established the Botkinburg Daily Herald. He couldn't attend our reunion because he had to put the paper to bed. I wonder if KENNETH RAY BRIDGES got ail the lawns mowed. I now find out that he manufactures lawn seed. WANDA KIRKENDOLL owns a chain of theaters throughout Arkansas. She is kept quite busy popping corn for all her theaters. Booher'8 Electric Toaster Company , of Botkinburg, was well represented by its president and our distinguished classmate, ALVIN BOOHER. ARLIS GREY has taken a job a6 Superintendent of Clinton City Schools. JIM KOONCE is a professional window washer, and is now working on the Empire State Building. He has been known to remark that his job is a pane. JEAN McENTIRE became the Artist of the class. Her most well received painting has been Cats in Blue , with seven green eyes. QUENTIN CROWELL has become a piano tuner for Note Music Company. Quentin stays in the Dallas Hotels owned by our most noted classmate DALLAS SCOTT. Owing to a slight mishap, BONNIE JOHNSON was late to our reunion. One of the horses pulling her buggy threw a shoe. And I? Each class has to have a person that they don't brag about. That's me. moved to Central Mongolia and became a mere school teacher. GEORGE MAIN has put Elvis Presley out of business with his Air Force Band.
