Beverly Rodgers has been named 1969 Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow for Clinton Prairie High School on the basis of her score in a written knowledge and attitude test on homemakers given senior Beverly's achievement has made her eligible for state and national scholarships She also has been a- warded a specially designed silver charm from General Mills, sponsor of the Betty Crocker Search for the American Homemaker of Tomorrow. Larry Shaffer received rocognition as Senior Bandsman for his four years of work in the Clinton Prairie band. Larry plays clarinet ln the concert band and baritone sax in the stage band and marching band Selection of the Bands- man is made by points accumulated by band members during their four years Bev Rodgers, Betty Crocker Future Homemaker Award Marilyn Grimes, the recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution award, was selected on the basis of her dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. She took a test in November on world and national affairs and the history of Indiana. Marilyn was the first girl from CP to win the county DAR award Senior Bandsman Larry Shaffer

Mike Rains 1968- 69 Notables Alternates Mark Simmons and Ellen Weflen Mark Rains and Marilyn Grimes each attended a week of Hoosier Boy's State and Hoosier Girl's State at Indiana University. The delegates and the alternates,Mark Simmons and Ellen Weflen, were selected because of their interest in government. Each year the Colfax American Legion awards an outstanding eighth grade boy and girl. This award, given on A Honors Day, is made on the basis of the stu- dents' scholarship and leadership. The 1968 recipients of this award were Mike Rains and Carolyn Sheehan. Carolyn Sheehan

Top UP Beau ty CP's halls are filled with quite a lot of beauty. Some of the -most outstanding examples are found on these two pages. Delva Heavilon was crowned Homecoming Queen. The members of her court included seniors Vic P Guffy and Chylene Neal, junior Dawn McCorkle, sophomore Rhonda Larsh, and freshman Debbie McKinsey. Chylene Neal was cho- sen by the members of the CP FFA chapter as their Chapter Sweetheart. CP had five girls par- ticipate in the county Jr. Miss Contest in Oct. The five girls included Susie Peters, Cindy Pletch, Ellen Weflen, Mary Harden and Suzie Clendenning. W Cindy Pletch
