Stop the School We Wanna Got Off UStop the School I Wanna Get Offn was the theme of this year' all-school variety show. The variety show was held March 14th in the multipurpose room. Susie Peters and Lois Friedrich served as misstresses of ceremonies in this year's show. The acts ranged from musical acts per- formed by such groups as Prairie Singers and the MJB and comedy skits performed by such renowned stars as Miss Oregano and the Paper Gopher. Go! Go!.Go! with Oregano I The climax of the eveninqy the unveiling of the Paper Gopher. The Marijuana Brass accompanied by cymbal virtuoso Mark Simmons. '

Mike Rains 1968- 69 Notables Alternates Mark Simmons and Ellen Weflen Mark Rains and Marilyn Grimes each attended a week of Hoosier Boy's State and Hoosier Girl's State at Indiana University. The delegates and the alternates,Mark Simmons and Ellen Weflen, were selected because of their interest in government. Each year the Colfax American Legion awards an outstanding eighth grade boy and girl. This award, given on A Honors Day, is made on the basis of the stu- dents' scholarship and leadership.
