DAR A WARD On the basis of dependability, service, lead- ership and patriotism, Gloria Ferguson re- ceived the DAR award at Clinton Prairie. Gloria competed with three other county girls in November by taking a test on world and national affairs and Indiana state history. JR. MISS L. to r.: Sandy Berry, June Rogers, Janet Yundt, Connie Kinsler, Kathy Lane BUYS i-GIRLS ' STA TE Glenn Iuday and Dianna Keller each attended a week of I-loosier Boy's State and Hoosier Girl's State at Indiana University. The delegates and the alternates, Iohn Glick and Kathy Lane, were select- ed because of their interest in gov- ernment. Glenn and Dianna participated in model state and local government in action. They learned how cam- paigns , conventions, and elec- tions are run by actually execut- ing these functions. ' 91
