The Mikado is the story of a young man who returned to his home town to marry his sweetheart, Yum- yum, only to find she was engaged to Ko-ko. Katisha later appeared and claimed the young man as her lover. Ko-Ko was finally persuaded to marry Katisha and Yum-yum at last is free to marry Nanki-poo, her true love.
