1951-BIOGRAPHICAL UPDATES--2001 His wife, the former Norma Steigman, whom he married March 25, 1951, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Tirey Hardin of Clinton, two brothers, and Hardin of Albuquerque, NM, and David Hardin of Clinton, and one sister, Mrs. Ann Miller of San Angelo, TX, survived Joe. Joyce QHarrelsonj Griffin P.O. Box 536 Burns Flat, OK 73624 C5801 562-3322 1951 Looking torward to the future, Joyce Harrelson plans to become a member of the armed services afer graduation. Attending school in Clinton for twelve years, Joyce has been active in band and glee club which she chooses as her favorite subjects. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Price Harrelson. 2001 After graduation, I attended Nursing school at the Clinton Regional Hospital. I later married John Griiiin and became a military wife. When my husband retired we came back to Clinton to live. I have been a nurse, aircrait instrument technician, a supervisor for Kellwood Co., and a machine operator for 3M imtil I retired. I have two sons, Gary- 48, Otis- 46, three daughters, Nannette - 44, Teresa - 39, Carol - 37. One other daughter, Judith died two days alter she was born. I have seven grandsons, three granddaughters and three great grandsons. We have lived in Bryan, San Antonio, Wichita Falls, and Amarillo, Texas. We also lived in Minot, North Dakota and Wichita Kansas. I retired in 1995 due to health reasons and now spend my time with grandchildren and playing bingo. I enjoy road trips and listening to country-westem bands. 'fha . . . Gary Hays, MD 3500 Modelle Clinton, OK 73601 f580J 323-4119 1951 Gary Hays, son of Dr and Mrs. H.G. Hays, 617 south s ', Clinton, plans to move on the farm alter school. Gary won the Bausch and Lomb Science Award this year and has been in the boys glee club for four years and student council member in his sophomore year. His hobby is raising chickens. He now has 1,500 baby chicks. 2001 Dear Classmates, I am still married to Mary Ann. We celebrated our iittieth wedding anniversary April 14'h. We are living in Clinton, OK, where I have been practicing surgery for 34 years. I was Board certified in 1968. My oldest son, Gary Lynn, is a D.O. and is practicing medicine in Guymon, OK. My youngest son, Oran, is manager of my jewelry store, Shantel's, in Clinton, We have four grandsons and one granddaughter. We lost both of our

I served in Japan and Korea until June 1952. After graduating with the class of 1953, on the GI Bill, I went to Tulsa and worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft Plant for a short time Since punching a time clock wasn't for me, I enlisted in the Army. I was a part of the Mean Green Machine until 1975 when I retired as a Master Sergeant with 25 Years service. I served in the Infantry, Combat Engineers and Special Forces. My specialty was explosives and demolition. Of my 25 years I served in Alaska, West Germany, Lebanon, Laos, Okinawa, Viet Nam 4times, Korea twice, Panama, Thailand, and Taiwan. I also served at Fort Polk, LA, Camp Chaffee, AR, Fort Lewis, WA, Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Fort Bragg, NC. After retirement I worked 3 W years in Saudi Arabia for the Vernal Corporation training the Kings National Guard. Upon returning state side I worked a bit in the Oil Field as a mud logger and seismographer before returning to Clinton in 1980. I worked for Public Service Co. of Oklahoma from 1981 to 1996 then retired again. In 1986 I married Reta Hardy. She has three children and now we have 5 grandchildren. We stay busy doing volunteer work. We both are active in the American Legion, V.F.W., and Special Forces Assn. I am an active member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge, Heartland Shrine Club and Clinton Evening Lions. Reta volunteers for Clinton Meals on Wheels. In our spare time we like to travel. ' in s. ara V .5 . A r, Joe Hardin Deceased 1951 Born in Sayre 18 years ago, Joe does not intend to go to college, but will continue to work in Broaches shoe store in Clinton. Football is his favorite sport while his hobbies are hunting and fishing. 1961 Joe Tirey Hardin, 28, died on January 28, 1961 at Tulsa Hillcrest Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an Automobile accident January 26. After graduation from high school and completing a tour of service in Gemiany with the US Army, Joe lived, with his wife in Texas and several places before being employed as a traveling auditor by Mid Continent-Sun Ray Oil Company. His residence at the time of his death was Tulsa, Oklahoma.

1951-BIOGRAPHICAL UPDATES--2001 daughters, April in 1958 due to a penicillin reaction and Cappy at 24 years of age, a licensed R.N., who was involved in a car accident in 1995. We have a rental property---A BIG MISTAKE---which is a real headache. Mary Arm takes care of all headaches, including the Real Estate. Boy! Am I lucky! Box 503 Clinton, OK 73601 580 323-9096 2001 Even though I did not graduate from Clinton High School, but Stafford High School in 1951, I still consider the class of 1951 to be my friends. I did graduate from Clinton Junior High in 1947, and most of that class went to and graduated from Clinton High School in 1951. In Dec 1951 I joined the US Navy, and for the next 20 years I traveled the world. In 1952 I married Evelyn Hudgins fwho was a part of the class of 1951, feven though she too didn't graduate from Clinton, but Cowden in 19511. I retired liom the U.S. Navy, attended Southwestem College at Weatherford for one year, and then went to work for the Federal Civil Service at Edwards AFB, CA in 1992. I then worked for General Dynamics at Tulsa until the closed the plant in 1994, I then returned to Clinton and started working as Real Estate Broker for Home Finders Real Estate, where I am still a Broker. In January 1999 My wife of 47 years passed away. In September 1999, I manied Retha Roberts ffiom Hydroj and we presently live at 112 Sandra Road, Clinton, OK I am looking forward to the Class of 1951 reunion in 2001. . he-.Lu . 'E' 1 r S - ,..... NK 5 ' 7 N 5' b Holly Deceased 1951 Bob Holly was born at Gotebo, Oct 7, 1933. He is five feet, five inches tall and weighs 152 pounds. . He has participated in football and track at Clinton and lettered in both. Bob is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Holly. He doesn 't plan to attend college. 1963 Bobby Ray Holly died in December 1963 Hom injuries received in an explosion at a Phillips Petrolewn refinery. After Bob graduated in 1951, he entered the US Air Force. DLu'ing his service, Bob was able to pursue his great love, diving and water skiing. He participated in many competitions within the military and at civilian meets. Following his discharge, he went to work for Phillips Petroleum Company and attended Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. Bob married and became the proud father of two lovely daughters. These girls were the true joy and delight of his life.
