Making Change At Clinton High A new superintendent and six new fac- ulty members came to C.H.S. Coach T. was no longer Coach T„ But Mr. Tumlison. the science teacher. School dismissed at 3:00 instead of 3:30 each day, and we had three choices for lunch instead of one. The new state standards caused several new classes to be added and several old ones to changes. There wasn't a Creative Writing. P.O.D., or Info, class. Instead we had Journalism, Contemporary American History, or Computer Technology. Drama and Choir were the new kids on the schedule block. The Student Lounge was converted into a classroom and the Coke machine was moved into the main hall. Ceiling fans in the study hall and library helped keep us cool and two building en- trances were rebuilt. Yes. 1986 was the Year of the Change.
