CURRICULUM PROVIDES SOUND TRAINING SOCIAL STUDIES M SCIENCE Mr. Smith's Algebra II students are busy applying their knowledge on test day. Two years of mathematics are required at C.H.S. Other math courses offered are general math, Algebra I and II, trigonometry, and geometry. The Typing I students are diligently at work learning the fundamentals of typing from their instructor, Mr. Hutto. Other commercial courses available are short- hand and secretarial practice. Mrs. Sellars, who is a practice teacher, lectures to the American History class. Other subjects in this field are World History and American Government. COMMERCIAL MATHEMATICS The chemistry class, shown here, seems to be hard at work discovering the elements of the world. Chemistry alternates yearly with physics. Biology and physical science complete the science courses offered at C.H.S.

FOR FUTURE SUCCESS OF STUDENTS ENGLISH The English in class listens attentively as Mrs. Holloway lectures to them on the art of modern language. Four years of English are required for graduation from Clinton High School. VOCATIONAL Mrs. Fulk's Home Economic I girls are busy learning the basic principles of good table manners. Three years of home economics are offered for girls. Boys may take up to four years of agriculture. Mechanical drawing is also offered for boys. MUSIC The band, under the direction of Mr. Lloyd Williams, is trying to reach perfection before going to the band festival at Hot Springs. The band and the chorus help enrich Clinton's curriculum. PHYSICAL EDUCATION Weight lifting is just one of Clinton's athletic fields. Basketball for girls and boys and football are also offered. These sports are open on the senior, junior, and peewee level.
