ADMINISTRATION MR. BILLY RAY PATE Mr. Pate has served as superintendent of CHS since 1961. He resigned in December, 1965, to take a job with the Arkansas Department of Education. Mr. Pate received his B.S.E. degree from A.S.T.C. and his M.A. degree from the U. of A. and A.S.T.C. Mr. Pate had been with the Clinton School System since 1955, when he became Grade School Principal. MRS. MAXINE BARNES Mrs. Barnes attended Central College and A.S.T.C., where she received her B.S.E. degree. Before coming to Clinton, she taught at Center Ridge. Mrs. Barnes teaches ninth and tenth grade English and sponsors the Senior Class, Beta Club, and the Stinger. FACULTY MR. RONNIE CLARK Mr. Clark received his B.A. degree from A.S.T.C. He taught two years at Beebe before coming to Clinton. Mr. Clark teaches economics and American government. He is the head football coach and the assistant basketball coach. MR. CURTIS BARNES After Mr. Pate’s resignation, Mr. Barnes, who was the high school princi- pal, became acting-superintendent. He has been teaching at Clinton since 1954, before which he taught at Center Ridge. He received his B.S.E. and M.S.Ed. degrees from A.S.T.C. MRS. SUZANNE CLARK Mrs. Clark has attended Ouachita College and A.S.T.C. Before coming to Clinton, she taught one year at Jacksonville. Mrs. Clark is the study hall teacher, chorus teacher, and one of the TORCH sponsors.

MRS. I LA HEFNER Mrs. Hefner has attended A.S.T.C, She taught at Witts Springs before coming to Clinton this year. Mrs. Hefner is the librarian, and she teaches world history. She is sponsor of the Library Club and the Torch. MR. W. H. MORTON Mr. Morton received his M. Ed. degree from the U. of A. He teaches agriculture and spon- sors the FFA and the Sophomore Class. Mr. Morton has helped with much of the high school office work since Mr. Barnes1 move to the position of acting- superintendent. CHS TEACHERS MANIFEST MRS. MAE HOLLOWAY Mrs. Holloway received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from Harding College. She teaches eleventh and twelfth grade English and sponsors the Stinger and the Junior Class. She taught at Shirley for seven years before coming to Clinton. MR. LARRY NELSON Mr. Nelson has attended A.S.T.C. Before coming to Clinton, he taught at Marshall for two years. Mr. Nelson teaches geometry, general math, and seventh grade science. MR. RALPH HUTTO Mr. Hutto teaches Typing I and II, shorthand, and bookkeeping, and sponsors the Freshman Class and the Stinger. He has taught at Clinton for twelve years. Mr. Hutto received his B.S. degree from A.S.T.C. MRS. BETTY PATE Mrs. Pate received her B.S.E. from A.S.T.C. Before coming to Clinton in 1955, she taught at Searcy. She teaches home economics and sponsors the Sophomore Class, the FHA, the Senior Cheerleaders, and the Torch. She is also manager of the high school lunch room. 8
