EDITORIALS PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE All of us are looking forward to grad- uation. We are all saying that the days will hurry, the proms will come, the Syl- labus will soon arrive, and commence- ment is only around the corner. We seem to look only that far ahead, though. Do we really know what we want and are going to do after graduation? Most of us are still puzzled as to what we shall do. True, it takes much thought and con- sideration. Now that we think of it, we say to ourselves, Why didn’t I take a dif- ferent course? I wish that I had known what I was going to be when I was a freshman or a sophomore so that I could have prepared for it. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, now is the time to be preparing for your future. If there is any chance that you might want to further your edu- cation, choose the right subjects. Do it now and don’t be sorry later. This is our last year at C.H.S. and we have tried to think of new and interesting items which will catch and hold your attention. To each and every one of you, I wish the best of everything. THE CHALLENGE OF THE FUTURE I, as part of the graduating class of 1962, wish to say that we have had a very memorable four years at Clinton High School. There were times of doubts and falterings, but we continued to work, to- gether, toward our goal. Our next major achievement will be to undertake the privilege of voting, of hold- ing public office, or protecting our country. We will accept this new responsibility the way that we accepted the responsibility of our high school work. We will welcome the challenge that it presents to us. Through this challenge, we will endeavor to con- tribute our best to the society of our town, state, and nation. CAMILLA.BESSEY, Editor ROYCE HUNTER, Assistant Editor

FRONT ROW: P. Whitten, S. Frost, E. Poulin. SECOND ROW: L. Tuttle, R. Sherburne, S. Page, D. Wood, R. Hunter, V. Rand, C. Nelson D. Libby, C. Bessey. THE TWIST The twist came out in '61 Everyone knew that it meant fun. Until a couple of kids got on the floor And did the twist like never before. Then Mr. Ward stepped in and said ’’That's enough! Where did you two ever learn to do that stuff?” The twist was banned the very next day, But we'll keep twisting anyway. We don't believe in breaking his rules, So we'll do our twisting after school!
