BOARD OF EDUCATION SEATED: Madeline Barrett, William Springer. STANDING: Orville Page, Russell Sherburne. BOARD OF EDUCATION AND SUPERINTENDENT OF 1961-1962 Mr. William Springer is the Superintendent of Schools for Clinton. Mr. Springer has served the schools in Clinton for several years. He is very interested in the edu- cational standards and is always willing to give the students a helping hand. Mrs. Madeline Barrett is serving her ninth consecutive year as a school board mem ber. Mrs. Barrett is employed by the Ski-Land Woolen Mill as a bookkeeper. She is interested in our educational system and works to see that our schools will grow to meet all future needs. Mr. Russell Sherburne, proprietor of the Pine Tree Diner, is serving his fifth year as a member of the school board. Mr. Sherburne has three children in the public schools of Clinton and a daughter who is attending the U. of M. Mr. Orville Page is serving his seventh year as a member of the school board. Mr. Page is a funeral director for the Redington Funeral Home in Waterville and Clinton. We, the members of the Syllabus Staff, wish to thank Mr. Springer and the mem- bers of the school board for all the helpful assistance they have given us during our school days in Clinton.
