WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED Sometimes during the long evenings I often wonder, What have we really accom- plished in our four years at Clinton High?' Although some of us haven't learned as much from books as we could have; we have gained a great deal of wealth in other ways. We have made new friends, competed in school sports, and taken part in school activities. Often we have wondered how the teachers could put up with us. This is another ex- ample that makes us feel we have accomplished an understanding of how difficult a room full of students can be. Now that we have reached the end of our four years, we have realized that adults are often more patient and understanding than we give them credit. If we haven't met these standards of accomplishments in the past, perhaps we can in the future. Editor-in-Chief Cyndra Wishart SHOULD I GO TO COLLEGE? Many high school seniors are asking themselves this question as their senior year ends. Should I go to college? If a student has the academic ability and the will to leam, he should go to college. However, some students feel thay haven't the necessary funds to attend. II they would only look about them they would find many ways of securing financial aid such as: fed- eral loans, summer jobs, and scholarships. It has been reported that many colleges have unclaimed scholarships. Other seniors, wishing to be wage earners, consider four years of college too long a delay. Statistics show that by having a college education more money is earned in a lifetime than by non-college graduates. Therefore seniors should go to college, not only for the prestige of a college degree or to earn more money, but to help their mind grow toward the utmost fulfillment of their abilities. Asst. Editor-in-Chief Peggy York
