In Appreciation We, the members of the class of 1957, have appreciated all the things which people have done for us to make our years at Clinton schools such happy and mem- orable ones. To thank all of them is impossible, because their help started way back, our first day of school to be exact. We would like to thank all our teach- ers, from the first day in the first grade to the last day of our Senior year. We began to realize it last year. No one who isn't in school realizes how much help a teacher is to a student, not even the students themselves until they get to be Juniors or Seniors. They encourage us to get good marks and to further our education. They talk to the students personally about juvenile delinquency and what it can do to our characters in the future. We would like to thank last year’s faculty for providing such good teaching, coaching, and helpful 'suggestions which have helped each and every one of us in such a way that no one but us could express. The Lions Club we wish to thank for helping us and giving us the privilege of putting on the Annual Field Day to provide money for our activity fund so we may enjoy better sports. Next, wewouldlike to say thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Myron Watson for pro- viding a home for so many wonderful teachers, and for making their stay such memorable ones. We also want to give many thanks to Robert Buzzell for the use of his buses which has made our school trips so much more enjoyable. Last, but not least, about the most important group of all is our present faculty. First, there is our principal, Mr. Gilbert Philbrick, who has guided us and has given us many helpful suggestions for making money for our class trip; next, is Miss Madeline Woodworth who has coached our class plays; Miss Margaret Totman, who has coached the glee club and helped us with the school paper; Mrs. Girlandine Libby, who put up with so much from us during the year, and who has made our homeroom so pleasant; and last, but surely not least, is Miss Priscilla Coburn to whom we extend our thanks for helping to make this yearbook possible. All of us Seniors wish you all the best of luck in the coming future. Carlene Bessey '57
