“Miss Zeen-Mjc of the Wabash Valley Our school was honored this year by having Trudy Davis, senior, selected as Miss Teen-Age of the Wabash Valiev ’ and Judy Wiot. senior, as first runner-up. Trudy was crowned after winning from a field of 150 semi-finalists from this area of Indiana and Illinois. As a regional Teen Queen ' Trudy was flown by get to Dallas. Texas, for the Miss Teen-Age America Pageant where girls repre- senting 101 cities from 36 states were judged on poise personality, intelligence, scholarship knowledge of world affairs and talent. In her division. Trudy placed 2nd in talent 9th in formal gown judg- ing and 11th in personal interview to arrive at a final rating of 12th. At the end of a busy, fun-packed week the girls were introduced to the nation in a MTeen Nite U. S. A. ' pageant held in the Cotton Bowl at Dallas by teen-age stars Dobie Gillis , Bobby Rydell. Bus transportation played an active part in getting acquainted at C.H.S. this year as approx- imately sixty per cent of the stu- dent body traveled to and from school transported by the follow- ing drivers: BOTTOM ROW, Left: Domenic Savio, Russell Fortune, William Fuchs.
