OUR STORY The old saying, There's Nothing New in the World did not apply to that boisterous group which burst into the quiet halls of C.H.S. in 1956. We were real new ---so new, in fact, that our dazzling greenness radiated through the whole institution. Our freshman year we elected Toni Basso, President, Micci Dawson, Vice Presidentg Janet Murray, Secretaryg and Luella Woody, Treasurer. Our Student Council members were Deanna Lobbia, Darlene Hess, and Peggy Bent- ley. Janet Murray was elected Homecoming attendant for the Freshman class and Maureen McDonald represented us on Columbus Day. Our sponsors were Mrs. Schelsky and Mr. Roloff. The Big Gold Strike' came our sophomore year, and we had at last received our class rings. Our officers were Darlene Hess, President, Elinor Shepherd, Vice Presidentg Luella Woody, Secretaryg and Merle Mazura, 'I'reasurer. Student Council members were Virginia Divan, Deanna Lobbia, Toni Basso, and Peggy Bentley. Our sponsors were Miss Boyle and Mr. Haskell. And then as juniors, we were practically at the top of the ladder. Our class officers were Rocky Osmon, Presidentg Darlene Hess, Vice Presidentg Claudia McCullough, Secretaryg and Diane Carey, Treasurer. Home- coming attendant was Rose Nepote and Columbus Day attendant was Virginia Divan. Our sponsors were Mr. Bur- ton and Mrs. Mitchell. Early in our junior year we started planning for the Prom. May 9, we proudly presented to the Seniors, after much hard work, the Colonial Cotillion. Finally, came the year 1959 when we could call ourselves Seniors. Our cords were indeed some of the most clever ever seen at C.H.S. It was hard to believe we had been in high school four years. Our class of- ficers were Rocky Osmon, Presidentg Darlene Hess, Vice President, Claudia McCullough, Secretaryg Diane Carey, Treasurer. Our sponsors were Mrs. Mitchell and Mr. Johnson. Columbus Day Queen was Sally Richey and Homecoming Queen was Judy Dickenson and the Senior Homecoming attendant was Pat Wilson As we scan the last four years, we can see that the dazzling green has turned to a true blue--a change ,brought about through the growing love for our school and classmates. To others we are just another graduating class, but we know there will never be another class quite equal to us 59'ers1l I -'lO. ANDREWS, ROBERT ALLEN General C.H.S.
