Natalia was accompanied by her lovely attendants - - Virginia Divan, Junior: Shirley Lindsey, Sophomore, and Helen Edington, Freshman, It looked as though this Columbus Day was, by far, the most participated in for years. Everyone enjoyed the splendorous parade and afterwards attended the games and other festivities at Aragon Park. Compliments of: LEE HAIN FURNITURE STORE and l-IYDE'S GROCERY STORE, Universal, Indiana - 6 - t 15 A 1' Q' MINSTREL Little ole' black boys and black girls held the spotlight on the stage while presenting the first Minstrel at C. H. S. to the student body. The true Dixie theme was carried out to its fullest extent, even to the snappy jokes of the black mamas and papas. Lines of gorgeous dancing dolls were one ofthe high-lighted features of the C. H, 5. Revue. Handsome and beautiful vocalists lent their melodious talents to make this first-time production a howling success! This gala production was spon- sored hy the Student Council, and Mr. Jack Haskell did a magnificent job directing. QA scene from South Pacific had everyone rolling in the aisleslj Compliments of: KARANOVICH FUNERAL HOME and KlRKMAN'S FASHION SHOP if-5-rl :Hgh 'fr 1 -bex! f l 1957 PRO Gay Paree was the setting for the annual Junior-Senior Prom entitled An Evening in Paris, Couples danced through the Arch de Triumph to the music of The Six Men of Note, Dark and gorgeous Claudia entertained in true Parisian style. The highlight of this long awaited evening found Miss Marilyn lfranchetto being crowned as Queen by Jerry Hawkins, Junior class president, Lovely Queen Marilyn's attendants were Elaine Allison, Judy Mattioda, Nancy Carty, and JoAnn Shaubi, After the grand march, led by Queen Marilyn and her escort, Ray Shew, everyone returned to their seats to enjoy another wonderful and successful Prom! They took the county championship for the third year in a row losing only to Shulte in the first meet of the season and dropping the Cayuga relays by a four point margin.
