WABASH VALLEY TOURNAMENT Clinton came through the Wabash Valley Preliminaries as expected with an easy victory over St. Bernice. Our next victory with Pertysville brought us against Dana which put up a good fight, but they couldn't stand up to the Cats. We traveled to Rockville to play Kansas, Illinois, in the Quarter Finals. It was another tough fight, but we came through with only Richland Township to play in order to reach the Finals. Our two-point victory over Richland Twp. put us up against a very tough opponent in the Finals. The game with Greencastle was played at Terre Haute. The team played a good game but was de- feated by Greencastle by three points. A Clinton Wildcat player, George Latinovich, was honored by receiving the Ernest O. Ney Sports- manship award at the Greencastle game. Congratulations, George! Compliments of: BYBEE'S GROCERY AND SERVICE STATION in Universal, Indiana

Lexie a charming miss of sixteen, is awaiting the coming of her soldier boyfriend, Muriel has a chance to become an actress, and Matt plans to play his cornet at a dance, Then everything starts buzzing when Nola, their glamorous mother, wants Lexie to act like a nine-year- old in order to get the part of a young woman in a movie picture. Lexie's sister and brother are to be the maid and gardener. I From then on Lexie is switching from a sixteen-year-old to a nine-year-old so that Bill, a soldier whom she likes, won't be suspicious.
