.Ii M f 'f we f N ff ,ry 1956 PROM On May 4 the annual Junior-Senior Prom was given hy the Juniors. The gymnasium was beautifully decorated with pastel colors ofthe South Sea Islands. Along the sides of the gymnasium the palm trees, interwoven in streams of crepe paper, seemed to he almost swaying in the enchanting setting of this prom Mary Ann Pognant, the lovely queen, and her court of six senior girls - Ann Gerrish, Linda Lark, Sara Rought, Joann Vietti, Shirley Inman, and Margaret Clarke stepped through an Hawaiian hut as Leo Baxter's orchestra played the theme song of the Prom Bali Ha'i . . rf HCMECOMING The Homecoming game this year was the Brazil game played on November 9. All classes showed their originality and ingenuity in the floats that they entered in the Homecoming Parade, held the evening before the ame. 2 BAND CARNIVAL The annual Band Booster Carnival was held in the Gymnasium on November 16, I956. Activities included: Dramatics Club Play, Junior High soft drinks, Latin Club pop corn, Industrial Arts hoop, Boosters' Fancy Work, Boosters' Balloons, Boosters' Fish Pond, Social Studies Basketball Shoot, Boosters Concession Stand, Science Department Football Throw, Home Ec Dart Throw, Commerce Telegrams, Library Club Ham Raffle, Math Club White Elephant Sale, Athletics Goals, Choir Cake Walk, G.A.A. Turkey Raffle and Chili Supper. Total net income from the carnival amounted to S572.7I. The Band appreciates all the hard work that was put forth to make this year's carnival a great success.
