cfddj p'ZOFA2Cy It rs now 1957 and we the class of 47 are plannrng a reunron after a ten year separatron After sendrng rnvrtatrons we recerved replres that some of the members would be unable, to attend So usrnfr our rngenurtv Bob and I decrded to charter a large passenger plane from Clrnton to Calrfornra and back It rs now the tenth of June frnd the reunron rs to be held on the twentreth so we hare ten days to make our Journey Clrnton rs now a thrrvrnff metropolrs wrth two arrports one of whrch belongs to our mechanrcallv rnclrnecl classmate Iranklrn Beerbower who has offered hrs serxrces to fly Floatrn Free one of the many planes whrch he owns After recervrng a report from our roamrng cover boy hobert George concernrng weather condrtrons rn Calrfornra and frndrng them favorable we decrde to leave rmmedrately On board the plane we are greatly surprrsed to frnd our two charmrng hostesses to be none other th rn Marre F1 olrch and Mrldred Garrrson whom we had not seen srnce the fateful day of June 5 1947 Thev seat us com fortably and we chat about old trmes untrl we reach Chrcago As we near Chrcago Bob develops a toothache whrch becomes rncreas rngly worse and when we land at the arrport we go to the Informatron Desk where we drscover our frrend Audrey Hause rs employed Upon learnrng Bobs plrght she rnforms us that Palmer Kroh a professronal Jerk tdentrst that rsh has hrs offrce rn the downtown area Audrey calls us a taxr and much to our utter amazement we frnd rn answer to the sum mons a red yellow and blue hack drrven by Davrd Gould We step rnto harr rarsrng days when Davrd was allowed to drrve Audrey brds us fare well remrndrng us to stop on our return trrp and grve her a lrft back to Clrnton Unknown to us we reach our destrnatron and when Davrd comes around to the door he frnds us on our knees wrth our hands clasped under chrns We depart from the cab vowrng never agarn to rrsk our lrves rrd rng wrth Davrd and proceed to enter the burldrng where Palmer s offrce rs located Vkhrle rrdrng up rn the elevator Bob partrftllv recox ers from hrs scare and wonders why we are gorng to see a dentrst Then he remembers that he has a toothache whrch he had forgotten nroment urly whrle rrdrng rn Davrd s taxr He also drscovers that hrs tooth does not ache but we decrde to pay a socral call on Palmer anyway to frnd out whether or not he wrll attend the reunron as we had had no reply from hrm We enter the offrce to frnd Louretta Mrddlebrook srttrng behrnd a desk lookrng very drgnrfred and at once she begrns grvrng us the thrrd degree Name? Ad dress? Phone Number? Occupatron'7 Do you have rn apporntment wrth the Doctor?
