FRESHMAN YEAR — ’84-’ 85 v As we began our first year at C H S., the class of 1988 was disorganized and a bit nervous. Before we knew it. Spirit Week had arrived. We worked hard to show the other classes what a special group we really were. We placed second in class attend- ance, and amazingly we tied for second in the all-important hall decorating contest. Throughout the year we acted as typical freshmen, wandering the halls in search of the elevator and the student lounge. We elected as our first year officers Pres- ident Maureen Gour, Vice-President Flor- ence Parker, Secretary Kerrie Philbin, and Treasurer Jean Kittredge. The summer of ’85 rapidly approached, and we were all happy to move on to bigger and better things during our sophomore year. 5

We must also give our heartfelt thanks to you. Mrs. Strang. Your domineering spirit lead us through the years. You were not only our librarian and advisor, but a loyal and dedicated friend. You will always be remembered in our thoughts. 4

SOPHOMORE YEAR — ’85-’86 Our second year brought about a change in our status as we were given more responsibility and more work. Kristen McNamara was selected as President, Florence Parker as Vice President, Kerrie Philbin as Secretary, and Jean Kit- tredge as Treasurer. We placed third during Spirit Week, but we took with us fond memories. Our advisors. Mrs. Strang and Mr. Ricci, helped us through this trying period with the reminder that bigger and better things were awaiting us in the next two years. 6
