“THE BEST OF TIMES” On November 7, 1981 we held our long awaited Homecoming Dance. After attaining the title of the most spirited class earlier in the week and coming out of our annual Homecoming Day game with a victory we looked forward to this event enthusiastically. The night slipped by us quickly as we danced to the music of Glass Leaf and the time to choose The bell of the ball crept upon us. Dawn Hilbert was chosen as queen and the members of her court included Cathleen Mahan, Pamela Towne, Donna McDonald, Paula Kittredge, Jerilyn Rauscher, and Carole Gelinas. The night ended on a happy note and we concluded that it really was The Best of Times.

“We’ve Only Just Begun” Our freshman year was a time of building dreams and setting our fu- ture goals. We arrived in the early fall of 1979, strange to our new sur- roundings but enthused about our four years ahead. As weeks passed we became comfortable as members of the stu- dent body and had cast our first bal- lots to choose our student leaders. We elected Nancy Pasquale — president, Jill Bailey — vice- president, Kathleen Hazel — secre- tary, and Brian Bergeron — trea sur- er. At this time we were also in- formed that Mr. Davidson and Miss Tassone, also new to this school, had been appointed as our class advisors. In November, our class, along with our advisors were introduced to a very special event — Spirit Week! We were quite inexperienced and subsequently failed. Our spirits were not lost however, we did our best for the newcomers that we were, and vowed to improve our standings in our second attempt. The conclusion of our first year came quickly and we left for a short summer, anxiously awaiting our future at C.H.S.
