SENIOR HOP “IMAGINE” MARCH 14,1981 On the evening of March 14,1981, we gathered together as a class once more for yet another memorable occasion, our Senior Hop. Turner Hall never looked so beautiful with the large shining “1981” casting its spell over all. We danced to the music of “Glass Leaf.” No other band could have e.xpressed our theme “Im- agine” in the same fashion. The evening was coming to an end, but was made special for seven girls. Theresa Halloran was chosen Queen, with Chris Herbert, Ann DeForge, Mary Cardoza, Rose Car- dillo, Michelle Goulet, and Lisa Innamorati as mem- bers of her court. The boys would not be outdone and chose Brian Larson as King, Bill Campbell, Pat Prendergast, Chuck Schwab, Jim Cooney, Joe Grimley, and Mike Ward as members of his court. The evening could not last forever and we finally realized this dance was one of our last major func- tions. We now looked for- ward as a class to our Senior Week Activities, which would culminate our high school career.

SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Our senior year at C.H.S. began with the realization that our golden moments as high school students were entering their final stage. In late September, we elected officers to lead us for the year ahead: Jeff Frisch, President; Shawn Moran, Vice- I President; Jane Santoro, Secretary; and Amy Jewett, Treasurer. Before we knew it. Spirit Week was upon us and the other classes were determined to end our domination of Spirit Week Festivities. Spirit Week activities ended with a rally on Halloween day and, as fate would have it, the Ghost of Halloween swiped our title as Most Spirited, as the Junior Class won the overall competition. In the next few weeks our thoughts turned to future events — our final mid-year exams, our Senior Hop, and the Interclass Dramatics program. The rigors of exam week in late January left us exhausted, but happy that high school mid-years were now a thing of the past. During February and early March we prepared for our Senior Hop and Interclass Dramatics competition. Our class selected “Imagine” for our Senior Hop theme which was held at Turner Hall in March. As was expected, it was a success. A few days before our Senior Hop, the Interclass Dramatics was held and our presentation was a comedy entitled, “Ada Gives First Aid”. Our dream of winning best play was not achieved, as the Juniors won. However, two of our cast members were honored with awards. Ann DeForge was selected Best Actress and Susan Kolifrath was selected Best Supporting Actress. The fourth quarter of our Senior year passed very rapidly and we completed our high school days with an exciting Senior Week that included Baccalaureate, a class trip to Oak’n-Spruce in Lee, MA., a class banquet at the White Cliffs in Northboro, and finally Graduation Day. And now we say good-bye, leaving this yearbook, the 1981 “Memorabilia,” as the official record of our life and times at Clinton High.
