JUNIOR PROM MAY 9,1980 The evening of our Junior Prom, May 9,1980, was one that will be remembered by all. The set- ting of the Sheraton-Tara provided a most excit- ing atmosphere. It was a night full of starlight and romance for the girls as well as the boys. The Junior Prom is always dreamed of as being special, but ours was made exceptional by the dedication of two very important people in our lives: Mr. Ricci and Mrs. Galeski. Thanks to them, “We’ve Got Tonite” and many beautiful memories of it. We finally realized we were upperclassmen as our officers were handed the Senior Caps and Gowns. These cherished moments will linger in our memories forever. The court consisted of Christy Morrison, Cindi Salwa (Queen), Sharon Kuzmeski, Maria Etche- pare, Lois Bruso, Maureen Egan, and Mary Hazel.

JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY Our Junior year began with our class eagerly anticipat- ing the excitement of the year ahead, especially Home- coming Week and our Junior Prom. Being upperclassmen, we accepted the role as school leaders and elected as our officers: Jeff Frisch — President, Mary Ruberti — Vice- President. Jane Santoro — Secretary and Amy Jewett — Treasurer. The weeks passed rapidly and in preparation for Home- coming we chose as our theme: “We May Never Pass This Way Again . Our class coordinated Spirit Week activities and the Class of 1 98 1 reigned supreme as the Most Spirited Class for the third consecutive year. During the Fall the C.H.S. band, twirlers, and flag corps went to North Adams to appear in competition. It was a worthwhile experience, as it showed us the fine quality bands in our state. In April, the annual Interclass Drama- tics was held and our class selected “Disco Craze” for its presentation. Being more experienced we hoped to win, but our efforts were surpassed by the Seniors who won the competition. However, two members of our class were honored for their performances: Denise Foster was chosen Best Actress and Susan Kolifrath was selected Best Supporting Actress. The C.H.S. softball team provided the school with a championship team as it captured the Midland League Title, the nucleus of the team was composed of members of our class. The highlight of the school year was our Junior Prom at the Sheraton-Tara in Framingham, MA. It was a castle of dreams and we will long remember dancing to the music of “Glass Leaf’ who played our theme: “We’ve Got To- nite”. At graduation activities in June three members of our class were honored for their academic excellence: Christ- ine Carr, Harvard Book Award; Carolyn Jaeger, Harvard Book Award; Timothy Murphy, Holy Cross Book Award. As the year came to an end, we had recorded many pleasant memories and anticipated our Senior year and the many challenges ahead for us.
