FRESHMAN YEAR As treshman, we found ourselves at the beginning of our journev through Clinton High. Along the way, we would not only learn to grow as individuals, but together as well. As a class we experienced the pride of accomplishment, a sense of belonging, and increasing confidence; but most of all we knew that we would cherish forever the many friendships we would make during our four years at Clinton High School. To help us along our way we chose Mrs. Jane Arsenault, Mr. David Menard and Mr. Donald Jarvi as our Class Advi- sors. Together with our Class Officers: President; Joanne Quinn, Vice President; Patrick Ball, secretary; Joanne De- spotopulos and Treasurer; Thomas Hazel and our Student Council Representatives: Mary Jo Garofoli, Loretta O ' Toole, and Carolyn Pasquale, we organized a bake sale and a car wash which proved to be very successful. The most memorable event of the year, however, was the arrival of President Jimmy Carter on March 16th and 17th. After presiding over a mock town meeting, the President spent the night at the home of classmate Jane Thompson. By choosing Clinton as his first stop in his meet the people campaign, the President put Clinton on the map. VVe would have many more memories which would be trea- sured from this year. Our imprint was made but not yet com- pleted. As the year came to a close, we looked to our future for the fullfillment of our promises, dreams, and expectations.
