1 ®rt ’a z ty o t )aum S9resA na i 9 ear . . . Like the rise of the sun, we, Freshmen, as a class opened our eyes to a new beginning. It was an important, fresh start, for all of us. We were now a part of Clinton High School growing together and learning about each other, but most important, the world around us. We were starting to stand on our own two feet, to experience happiness and joy, pain and sorrow. It was a scary feeling but we, nonetheless, started out full of energy and togetherness which we felt would keep our class as a whole. To help us keep the sun always shining, we chose Mr. Gerald Foley and Mrs. Jane Ann Weaver as our advisors. Together with our first elected class officers: Sean Brennan as President, Lucille Leoni as Vice-President, Andrea Innamorati as Secretary, and Nancy McNally as Treasurer; we set out to raise money to make the Class of 1979 the best class CHS has ever had. We began our four years of high school with a car wash, running a concession stand at all basketball games, and dances. These were all a success. It illustrated that we were looking forward to a promising and bright future. Loyalty toward our country. Loyalty toward our school, Loyalty toward our class.
