Finally after hours of hard work and long dis- cussion, the night we had waited for arrived; con- vincing us that our efforts had been both productive and appreciated. The cafeteria “incognito” was totally transformed to radiate an atmosphere of fantasy. The night ended with the choosing of Eleanor Gates as queen and the members of her court; Cynthia White, Mary Beth Kittredge, Pamela Guidi, Poppy Julsonnett, Carol Kilgour, and Kathleen Hogan. Moondance was the start of our Junior year at CHS and if it was a promise of things to come . . . 29

SNOWY WHITE THE DWARFS Everyone knows the age-old story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but during our junior year this ancient fairv tale was updated into a thirty minute farce featuring a motorcycle pack as the seven dw ' arfs Snow White was reincarnated from a naive type of girl into a modern day hip kid who really got into rock music. The night was climaxed when three members of our star-studded cast were presented awards for their out- standing performances. Kathy Gibbons, our narrator, received the “Best-Supporting Actress” Award; Bruce Lynskey, the leader of the pack, received the “Best Supporting . ctor” Award; and Karen Paulino, as the hippie-princess Snowy, received the “Best Actress” .Award for the second year in a row! Snowy White was a runaway teenager with a real hangup for mirrors. She fled from her cruel step- mother who had taken her battery-powered phono- graph, and found refuge in the far out pad of seven motor cyclists. A few days later Snowy’s cruel stepmother, disguised as an Awon lady, tracked Snowy down at the dwarves’ hide-out and flipped Snowy out with her poisonous hair spray. The untimely arrival of Prince Humperfink, just as the seven bike cats were about to install the limp body of Snowy into good old Mother Earth, saved the day along with hippie Snowv. The members of our star-studded cast were; Kathy Gibbons as the narrator, Karen Paulino as Snowy White, Bruce Lynskey as Rattler, Marcia Currier as Chewey, Judy Grealis as Scarface, Meg Ball as Patch, Linda Flannagan as Spider, Brigid Ball as Mugsy, Ann Coonev as Gears, Carole Janda as the Stepmother, and Roger Bruso as Prince Humperfink. The three trees of the forest were Jody Braunhardt, Audrey Young, and Karen Kamatarris.
