We started our junior year of high school with the anticipation that we were going to be the second oldest class in Clinton High. Although we were only juniors, the large ma- jority of our class playing sports were seeing a large amount of varsity action. The first major occurance was the election of our new class officers; Brendon Burgwinkle be- came our president, Brigid Ball was secretary, Chris Lavelle was our treasurer, and Meg Ball received the vice-president seat. We received our class rings in late October and began discussing our first major event — the homecoming dance. We called it “Moondance” and held it on No- vember 13, in our high school cafeteria. After much debate and heated discussion, we hired the Dirty Rye Band for that evening — We participated in the Interclass Dramatics in early December capturing three of the five major awards for our memorable performance of “Snowy White and the Dwarfs.” After returning from our Christmas holidays, we began planning our biggest class function to date . . . the Junior Prom. We called the big night “Precious Few” and danced to the rock music of Expansion. A group of about twenty-five students spent their spring vacation touring France, and another group of eleven juniors travelled to Old Quebec City for five days in May. During our junior year many of us became eligible for membership in our high school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. We broke all school records by placing the largest per- centage of a class in the organization. The time vanished quickly and before we real- ized it, we were seniors waiting for our last and most important year at C.H.S... e
