Other Homecoming activities included the annual Junior-Senior Egg Fight held at the Water Works Park. Just as the juniors were beating the seniors, the Clinton Police Department came and ended it with an early finish. On the same evening, Clinton High School Clubs and Groups revived the traditional windowpainting. The National Honor Society won with the Slogan, “Reach for the Stars,” with the seniors placing second. 5

k Friday the 13th is marked as that fateful day when only bad things are supposed to happen. That theory was proven wrong on Homecoming Day, however, when the infamous members of the class of ’79 became the winners for the fourth year in the float competition. Second place was captured by the Freshman class with the slogan, “Even Mighty Mouse Can’t Tackle The Mighty Maroons.” To the Sophomore class with a slogan proclaiming, “Sizzle the Saints,” went the third place ribbon. The parade was led by the Clinton Police, followed by the high school M-squad and marching band. Other groups represented were National Honor Society, Cross Country, Football squads, Maroon cheerleaders, and Junior High cheerleaders. MING 4

Brett Miller added the extra point making the score, 8-7. Clinton’s lead was sweet and very short lived. The Clinton offense rolled up 358 total yards, but the defense gave up 341 yards.
