CCHS’s Fall and Winter Sports Banquets presented several awards to our sports oriented students. These presentations included: In football Brett Miller received the Most Valuable Player award. In Cross Country Kevin Volkcr was voted Most Valuable Team Member. Lee Luckcy was voted Most Valuable Player. Chris Junkcrt was chosen as most Valuable Player in Golf. For basketball Marty DcJayncs was the Hardest Worker, and Best Free Throw, and Jeff Bruner was Most Improved. Kevin Cray received Best Defense, and Rick Wclton earned Most Valuable Player. In girls Volleyball (JV) Missy Bryant was Most Valuable, Trcassa Torbert was Best Team Player, Denise Torbert, Best Hustler, and Christy Trent, Most Improved. For Varsity-Most Valuable Player-Wendy Jones. Best Team Player-Kay Belangee, Best Athlete Tisha Bryant, and Most Improved-Nancy Lappin. In girl’s basketball Sas Spencer received the Most Valuable Player, Wendy Jones was Most Improved, and Cheryl Sturgeon received Rookie of the Year.
