Freshman girls learn fundamentals of basketball. Whether in class or in physical ac- tivities, the girls and boys in Health and Physical Education learn about the body and how to care for it. The freshman physical education classes at- tend health class two days a week and play in the gym three days.

Judy seems to be a little in doubt about her book- keeping Test, but Namon seems to be doing O.K. on his l l 1 T fu In Typing ll, everyone is concentrating on his assignment. Translating a story in Shorthand is often difficult. Today, typing becomes a necessity. We can type faster than we can write. When we enter college, we can use this skill to great advantage in themes, termpapers, etc. This advantage you acquire from iust one year of study. Many of our graduates succeed as secretaries with shorthand and bookkeeping learned in our school. The commercial courses are taught by Miss Jean Douglas and Mr. William Peterson. l7ll

gzolucafion, an Mr. Carr figures up grades for his Physical Education class. Johnny Higginbotham practices free shots in Physical Ed. This enables them to develop both mentally and physically. This is a very vital part of education, and the stud- ents are instructed by Mrs. Savoie and Mr. Carr. The body and its many parts are studied in the freshman health class.
