4 17 1951 SCHOOL September 3 Faculty gets together to plan opening of school. First day of school. Building bursting at the seams with large Freshman Class. 13 Pep meeting before first football game. 14 Cardinals lose first game of the season to Warrensburg. 18 The Annual gets under way with its first meeting. Z1 Cards lose to Holden by one touchdown. Z4 Elder W. S. Jesske, Clinton S. D. A. Pastor, tells of experiences in concentration camp in assembly. Cards trampled by El Dorado. October 3 The Dramatics Class gave characterization from plays in assembly. Very well done. 5 Cardinals suffered their fourth defeat of the season to Windsor. 8 Three upper classes enjoyed a little varity in education by going to the movie MACBETH. 10 Cardinals finally win one from Appleton City. ll-12 A day off finally! Teachers attend District Teachers' Meeting in Warrensburg. Assembly-Sgt. Davis, Highway Patrol. Old luck is back as the Cardinals lose to Adrian. -4- ZZ Annual Staff presents assembly. 26 Cards lose again, this time to Butler, 31 Fine Arts Trio presented at assembly. Enjoyed Halloween Party sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. November Z Homecoming cold but gay, except that we lost again to Rich Hill. 6 Parent-Son-Teacher Banquet, sponsored by F. F. A. 7 Assembly on Book Week. 9 Saw those report cards for the first time. Lost last game of season to Harrisonville. 15 Sophomores sponsored tacky dance with girls asking the boys. Enjoyed by all. 16-17 Henry County Tournament. Z1 Thanksgiving assembly. 26 Students enjoyed all school play entitled Ladies in Retirement. It was a huge success. Professionals couldn't have done better. Z7-30 Basketball season opens with Warrensburg State College Invi- tational Tournament. Cardinals take first place. December Cardinals win again, this time over Calhoun. B. C. Quigley assembly ll Cards beat Osceola. 14 Cardinals win over Warrensburg! 18 Winning streak continues. Cards beat Lexington! 19 Big Christmas Dance enjoyed by everyone. Senior Class Poll was disclosed. V 19 , 7 10 2.1 Christmas assembly and school dismissed. First loss of basket- ball season to Windsor. Ring out the old! Ring in the new! 1

CALENDAR 1952 .Tanuary 1 Resolutions resolved and as quickly dissolved. Z Cardinals made up for that loss by defeating Windsor. School reopened. 4 Cardinals defeat Holden. 8 Cardinals win over Adrian in close game. 11 L.ee's Summit defeats Cardinals in close game. 14 Cardinal fans travel across the river to play Excelsior, and win!! 17 Cards defeat Warrensburg. 18 Assembly by Charles Ramsden. Parents saw again those grade cards. Z2 Cardinal fans watched the defeat of Eldorado Springs. Z5 Cardinals win again over Butler. 29 Winning streak continues over Warrensburg. 30 Cheerleaders sponsored an all school dance. February 1 Started this month right by defeating Osceola. 4 Dr.Knox was here to speak to Seniors. 6-9 C1inton's 27th Annual Basketball Tournament. North Kansas City- Winner. 12 Cards flew over the Rich Hill Tigers with a score of 58-24. 13 The Dramatics Class again put on their Comedy-Tragedy maSk, and entertained us with Cabbages. 15 Cards played Appleton City for the last game of the season. March 17 All the lrishmen arrived in green today. 19 Mrs. Hendrich's Campfire Assembly. Z6 Mr. Boxell presented the conservation assembly. April 16 The Ambassador Quartet at assembly--what talent! May 2 The biggest event of the year, the Junior-Senior Banquet. It was real style this year. 18 Baccalaureate services for seniors. Z2 Commencement with all the seniors in their caps and gowns. Z3 Last Chapel, and then we dropped in for report cards.
