Cranii 'eSorbo Frank DeSorbo, an ardent lover of American History, Anthropology, and Geography is a well qualified member of the Clinton faculty. He attended Sienna College where he received a B.A. in History, and Fordham University where he received his Masters Degree in American History. He also studied at New York University in American History. Currently, Mr. DeSorbo is a student at Plattsburgh State Univer- sity College where he is working toward an MLA in Anthropology and Geography. Mr. DeSorbo has enjoyed his twelve years of teaching at Clinton Community College. Stu- dents like being in his classes because of the enthusiasm he brings to them. Mr. DeSorbo's lec- tures reflect his enjoyment of the atmosphere and beauty of the North Country as well as the time spent with his family. His hobbies include photography, jogging and basketball — even if he is a little short for the sport. Frank DeSorbo received the Chancellor’s Award for teaching in the Spring of 1980. He is the first professor to receive this award at Clinton Community College. The Clinton students are glad to have had the opportunity to know Frank because of his warm friendship and his dedica- tion and performance as a teacher. We, the Class of 1981, congratulate Frank DeSorbo and dedicate the 1981 Praecursor to him with sincere appreciation and affection. 2 CL aiiroom Jlctivity 4t 4 5 Clinton Communit y Clinton Community College sets high on a bluff overlooking Lake Champlain, two miles south of the City of Plattsburgh on New York State Route 9 in the County of Clinton — a county known for its natural won- ders, popular resorts, and invigorating temperate climate. In an imposing background of rugged moun- tains, beautiful lakes, and rapid streams, the student body has the advantage of a complete array of land and water sports. The City of Plattsburgh is easily accessible from other cities by bus, air, train, and car. It is only an hour’s drive from Montreal to the north, and about 45 miles from Lake Placid to the southwest. Flight time to New York City is a mere 90 minutes. Only a few minutes from the college is the scenic Northway, Interstate 87, a four-lane divided highway connecting Plattsburgh with Albany and joining the New York State Thruway. 8 Jrom £uery 2bi rectio n W$$£ Winter Jit C.C.C. 10 II 4 10, 1980 15 6 5L PoL d ear -S u £m October 31, Cfiff Jl avert 19X0 d3eacL 17 “Coffee M 99 oude Wine an JO eese 18 occer at 3Jt of 1980 22 23 25 26 Women’s Basketball Left to Right: Janice Castline, Anne Harwood, Charlene Palmer, Tammy Carpenter, Lorie Roppelt, Judy Bruette, Diane Jones, Julie Holland 28 29 AcLiAor Carl jCutters anJ PtayorA tournament lAln nerA :w 31 32 33 —— Students us.
