We as a class were anticipating a great year. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months; with each day, each week, and each nnonth new challenges and deadlines were set before us. The future was dark, plans seemed futile and everyone was ready to give up. Then you stepped in to guide us and to help us see the way. You reminded us of the bright lights of a city, which shine their light even in the darkest night, amidst the fiercest storm to guide the weary person home. We couldn ' t see our way through to the end, but with your great time saving plans a new dawning shone on our dark days. You showed such a keen and intense interest in all of our plans and helped us improve thenn. Most of all you played a great part in establishing our faith in Christ more deeply. To you, Mr. Funk, as a token of thanks, we dedicate the ' 72 Echo. The Seniors In this book we look to see and yet we hear, for these pictures and words are the Echo of this school year ' s events and happenings. We can no longer hear the original sounds , but these pages carry their echo. What may we hear? The Bible says, So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdonn. This passage innplies that the happenings of each day may be counted (nunnbered) as opportunities, and as such, challenge our wisdom. You seniors have found that your days at Clinton Christian could be filled with challenges calling for wise decisions. May you learn even more that The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom . Keep on building your life upon true wisdom. And now, Lord, for all of us who read and hear this Echo , bestow upon us, too, that quality of knowing the days and times which we rniay possess with Your divine wisdom. In all kinds of weather we deternnined to try; But often as gray clouds appeared, we would sigh. It takes the storn i to prove the real shelter ! Many days of our traveling all seenned to be well. But soon we were snnitten and had many fears to quell. Oh! the need of a shelter when things go pell-mell. For it takes the storm to prove the real shelter. At times gloom settled upon us and cast us off course; We hopelessly bottled a wierd, unseen force. How soon the sun shone as we looked to our Scource ! It takes the storm to prove the real shelter. But perpetual fair skies just wouldn ' t be the norm. Soon after rainbow colors, dark clouds may form; We look to the Master — our Shelter from the storm. For it takes the storm to prove the real Shelter! So on and on we journey with Christ by our side. Through sun and stormy weather , whatever betide, Under His wings we shelter — in Him we abide. Yes, it takes the storm to prove the real shelter! -Annabelle Herschberger wmM m : ' ij ' . ' SEX XOR ' YOUR FUTURE IS PURCHASED BY YOUR PRESENT I have to get something to eat!
