I N M E M O R Y Bill, when you first entered our classroom door Se were almost strangers to each other, But as the days turned into weeks And weeks turned into months VJe learned to know you and appreciate you. You contributed much to our class You bound us together and gave us A renewed spirit when thinf;s went wrong. Your wit, your humor, your willinTiess to help Made us feel fortunate to have a guy Like you in our class. Little did we know that these happy days Would end but, oh so soon; That you wouldn ' t live to graduate with us; That God would choose to call you home And we ' d be left with only memories Of you to think about. You taught us so much when you died. You showed us The uncertainty of life, the beauties of heaven, The rewards of living for God - the worth The power of prayer, a closeness to God And a longing for heaven. And so, to you, who has lived in the past The figure of a Christian gentleman Who is gone, and yet not gone, not forgotten Still here, on this campus — moving i ' alking — talking — the memories of you. To you, we dedicate this 196? ECHO. - ' ■ ritten by Esther Miller in behalf of The Senior Class of ' 69 VJilliam Eugene Miller, bor;-. November h, 1950, died on July 2b, 1968, of injuries suffered in an auto accident five weeks prior to his death. Bill was a student here, and would have graduated this year. He had a host of friends and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He left a wonderful Christian testimony for us.
