6412... This fourth year of Clinch Valley College coincides with the beginning of the space age. It has been a year of scientific explora- tions and achievements which excite our imagination and re- emphasize intellectual curiosity and burning midnight oil, Even before sputnik, there has been an attitude of seriousness at Clinch Valley. This college year has forged a greater determination to satisfy our desire to know and explain by a more exhaustive search for knowledge and truth. Much of this spirit of growth and determination is reflected in the forward surge of the college within the community. We have been inspired by the beginning construc- tion of a new classroom and administration building .. The stages of development symbolize the stages of learning and activities of the past year.
