The Second Year Class Our two years already past, we the '58 class of Clinch Valley College look back with fond remembrance on the wonderful realizations of our hopes for a fast- expanding school. We arrived, a bigger class than ever before, and embarked upon the road. to knowl- edge, expecting and realizing the hardships we might encounter. Even as we began, we saw the beginning of a new and improved plan for new academic buildings, faculty housing, and student dormitories. The construction of buildings along with the instruc- tion of minds walked hand in hand. As the second year began its course, we saw several new faces along with many familiar ones. Some of the beginning Freshmen had left us and their pres- ence was greatly missed. The wonderful Dr. Miller had gone, and with her going she left a wonderful remembrance of her devoted work at C.V.C. We welcomed several new faculty members and new students to our family. The members of our class were found in every phase of C.V.C. life and activity. The closeness and ambition of the entire Sophomore Class of '58 has lent a dignity and remembrance to the college for all time! Many future dreams realized, Clinch Valley will be known to have provided the pathway to realization for its dreamers.
