THE COOKS HOT LUNCH PROGRAM Much of the success of the Hot Lunch this year can be attributed to the many commodi- ties we received during this school year. Butter, fresh eggs, cheese, cold meat, and hamburger were quite plentiful and we're sure the ham and turkeys served were enjoyed by all. These surplus commodities help to hold down the cost of the meal which otherwise, due to higher prices, would need to be raised. This year all new stainless steel kettles and oven pans have replaced the old enameled ones. We find these much better and less expensive in the long run. Also everyone con- cerned like the new serving cart, and the new attachments for the mixer makes work President easier. Our ers the ing thanks to the cooks, helpers, and teach- for the part they have played in making Hot Lunch a succes We appreciate eat a warm, nourishing meal at noon and again we say WTHANKD M133 Anna Chrlstensen Mrs Lottie Christensen mrs Irene Hagan The P T A has been active in sponsoring many activities this year They pre- sented corsages to the teachers at a reception at the Sept P T A meeting They served various dinners to business groups who held meetings at Climbing Hill They also served our own Activity Banquet They sponsored swimming lessons last summer and are planning to sponsor them again this summer They also sponsored a page in the annual The association has had a variety of educational programs, to mention a few Harry Shedd spoke on school legislation, members of the armed services re cruiting services spoke to the parents on what their children could expect upon joining the service ual for Mrs Mrs Mrs training boys' projects The grade school the December P T A meeting T A Officers for 1956 1957 Dwain Loyd Vice President Dwight Davis Treasurer Don Klingensmith Secretary Mrs Mrs Mrs They have sponsored a hobby show, a style show, and the display of the man presented a Christmas program A Officers Elected in April Dwain Loyd Vice W D Martens Roy Whitney Treasurer Secretary r-1.5 ' P. . . - P.T. .
