Class Histor The Senior Class of 1955 had it's school career started under the direction of Miss Vesta Gifford in 1942. The Seniors are ll in number but they started out with only 9. Of the ll finished pro- ducts, only 5 started in Climbing Hill, Mary Schwarz, Bill Balk, and Don Fredinburg.Richard Schwanke joined us the second semester of our primary yearg Paul Dicks-2nd gradeg Dick James-Srd gradeg Monte Brinker and Phyllis Lohse-7th gradegCarl Gordon in the 8thg Gaylan Edwards as a Junior, and Gary Drake as a Senior. We started high school with great anticipations. The first thing we met was Freshmen Initiation, the Sophomores did a good job on us, we hardly recognized ourselves. Our Freshmen year ended and we were ready for our second year and geometry, geometry wasn't nearly as bad as we expected, and to our amazement most of us actually enjoyed it. Since it is generally true that the Junior year is the busiest, ours was no exception. The first big event was getting our class ring, and the Junior Class Play,WRest Assuredn. In the spring we picked the theme for the Junior-Senior Banquet,NOriental Gardensu and assisted in getting the Seniors out of school. Then at last we were Seniors, it didn't seem possible that four years could go so fast, but it wasn't long before we were working on our Senior Class Play, nThe Hoosier Schoolmasteru, and also finishing up our work and getting ready for Commencement. On May 17, the ll of us were proud to walk up to the stage and receive our diplomas, our high school career was ended, but our lives were just commencing. We will always remember our days at C-Hill where we enjoyed and appreciated the friendship of our classmates and teachers. girwza .
