Our basketball team wasn't so successful in winning games because of inexperienced players. So our final tally was found to be I4 defeats with 6 victories. Our average per game was 34.05 while our opponents totaled 43.85. But losing isn't hard as long as sportsmanship is developed. They won the Little Sioux Tourney at Moville and were runners up against Sloan in Sectional at Sloan. Jeanette Schwedler won the free throw contest in this district, 19 out of Z5 shots, and went to Des Moines to compete in the State Tournament. Lea Kohlhof, Carolyn Christensen and Jeanette Schwedler were named on the Little Sioux all conference tearng Florice Meye and Norma Dicks honorable mention.
