They started the season with a bang, winning the first four, but coming out on the short end of the next three. Monte Brinker was the chief receiver, with Don Jansen filling in as substitute catcher. LaVere Groth led the hitters with a .500 average. Tied for second place were Richard Schwanke and Don Jansen with an impressive .444 seasons average. Junior Smith was slugging in the cleanup slot. They won the Little Sioux Tourney at Moville and were runners up against Sloan in Sectional at Sloan. Jeanette Schwedler won the free throw contest in this district, 19 out of Z5 shots, and went to Des Moines to compete in the State Tournament. Lea Kohlhof, Carolyn Christensen and Jeanette Schwedler were named on the Little Sioux all conference tearng Florice Meye and Norma Dicks honorable mention.
